HIVEGUARD

Prototype for application and IoT based beekeeping product.

We have to save the bees...but apparently it's ridiculously tough to get started. For that reason my team and I created HiveGuard. This is a smart-tech, IoT (internet of things) based system prototype created for the purposes of improving the efficacy of the beekeeping process for both novice and experts alike by providing useful information and data.

We designed this prototype with a combination of physical materials, breadboarding, and Figma prototyping to help beekeepers improve the efficacy of their care through the implementation of sensors, data collection, and an associated smartphone application. Our ideal design in future iterations would be a system that balances the augmentation of data provision with the implementation of devices that could automate parts of the beekeeping process.
